This program was designed to help Canadians, and particularly marginalized groups, either upgrade or learn new skills to re-enter the workforce given the challenges presented by COVID -19.

  • Funding Stream 1 – Training and Tools
    • Areas of focus:
      • designing and implementing training
      • developing assessment tools and training resources
    • Eligible Parties: not-for-profit, for-profit, labour union, municipal government, Indigenous organization, provincial and territorial government, institution, agency, and crown corporation

 

  • Funding Stream 2 – Research and Innovation
    • Areas of focus:
      • conducting research to support the skills development of adults
    • Eligible Parties: not-for-profit, for-profit, labour union, research organizations, think tanks, academic institutions, Indigenous organization, provincial and territorial government, institution, agency, and crown corporation

 

Funding:

  • Funding Stream 1 – Training and Tools: maximum of $10 million per project
  • Funding Stream 2 – Research and Innovation: maximum of $7.5 million per project
